    NIDA’s mission is to bring the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction. NIDA supports most of the world’s research on the health aspects of drug abuse and addiction. The NIDA website includes a vast array of educational materials about specific drugs as well as the consequences, prevention and treatment of drug abuse. The site includes resources for young people, parents, teachers, researchers, physicians and other health professionals.
